After yesterday's new moon, and with the moon waxing through Gemini today, the bright, intellectual energy of the twins prevails. What's fresh, trendy and novel trumps anything heavy and laden with meaning. Participate in the social swirl. There's a contest going on over who can be more charming. It's a nice opportunity to meet fresh blood.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). What's temporary becomes permanent. If you don't like how a situation is going, respond quickly, before you're superglued to it. Tonight, the addition of a Leo activates your social life.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You lavish new people with affection. Those who are familiar are just as worthy of your tenderness. Look for things to admire about the ones you see every day.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Since you're hopelessly bored by traditional things, it helps when you take a new approach to your goals. You can learn a great deal by observing and imitating. Note that someone who is overly critical is only jealous!

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your key to earning high-dollar is to make a name for yourself among fellow professionals. This can be done through your work, but it's done even better through play. Leisure with the right people will get you promoted!

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Those who say "No regrets" have you baffled. In fact, if you're not doing at least one thing you'll regret later, it could be a sign that you're not risking enough. A little doing and a little ruing bring your ultimate success.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (May 27). This year, your success depends not on whom you know, but on who wants to know you. Your exuberance attracts power players and people with moxie. There's lots of laughs and drama to partake in, but make the next 10 weeks about getting crystal clear with your goals. You'll pull an important one in by August. Sagittarius and Leo people delight you. Lucky numbers are: 30, 11, 35, 32 and 9.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You may claim to be clueless about your new area of interest, but you're not. You're clue-full. There're so many clues around you, it's hard to miss them. Follow any one, and you'll soon be in the know.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Being busy and being productive is not the same thing. Relax. Some things are better put off until tomorrow. Really, when it comes down to it, do they ever need to be done at all?

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). When you're in love, you're willing to defend your loved one, champion this person's cause or be a passionate advocate for whatever he or she is into. Steer clear of trouble, and run it by a reasonable Virgo first.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The stars highlight your self-sufficiency. What the eye doesn't see, the mind doesn't want. Instead of placing yourself in temptation's way, do something entirely different. By evening, you feel there's nothing you really need.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Learn to trust that the universe will provide. This is not laziness! If you're very wise, you'll master the noble art of leaving things undone, words unsaid and rocks unturned.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). When an external force has more authority over your willpower than your spirit does, take it as a sign. Maybe you're not as compelled by your goal as you once were. Take a break so you can get reinspired.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You know someone who is just pretending, and you see through the charade. Don't blow this person's cover! It may be the only thing holding him (or her) upright.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I'm a business man, and I support my family well. My birthday is Oct. 28, 1959. My problem is I get so tense around the time that my business deals are wrapping up that my wife says I'm unbearable to live with. I don't want to alienate them, but this is how I am able to support them, so shouldn't they be more understanding?"

While in the thick of heavy negotiations, Scorpio needs others around to lighten things up. Otherwise, the positive traits you might apply to your business, including your love of justice and an innate sense of rightness over personal preferences, succumb to just plain stubbornness. You actually need your family the most during these negotiation times and should not neglect them when it comes time to wind up the deal. Family gives you relaxation and life-perspective that makes you a better businessman when the heat is on. Scorpios have problems dissociating from the matter at hand, so when it's time to switch gears from business to family, you're still stuck reliving the day's work. It will help you in the long run to let your subconscious untangle work problems, while you relax and enjoy your home.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: "Stand back" and behold the mystical wonder and awe of Stevie Nicks. Gemini, the sign of the butterfly, can't be pinned down, which is why the inimitable Nicks flitted from Fleetwood Mac to Stevie Nicks to Fleetwood Mac and back to Stevie Nicks again and again. This gold-dusted woman knows what she wants to say and sings it with a delicate and mesmerizing vengeance.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
