There will be no DNA test -- at least for now -- for Anna Nicole Smith's 6-week-old daughter.
Smith's attorney said she wouldn't submit Dannielynn Hope Marshall Smith to a paternity test as requested by ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead. A birth certificate lists Smith's current companion, Howard K. Stern, as the girl's father.
"Why should she accommodate him at all?" Bahamian attorney Wayne Munroe told The Associated Press. "I don't think she's going to run her life according to his wishes."

BIRKHEAD'S REQUEST
Birkhead, a photographer, is seeking a court order asking that Smith come to California for the DNA test. His attorney Debra Opri is traveling to the Bahamas this weekend to take depositions from Smith and Stern. "We're going to get that paternity test," Opri said. "It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but I'm not going away."

SMITH'S SON
On Thursday, Smith buried her 20-year-old son Daniel, who died while visiting her in a Nassau hospital days after the baby was born on Sept. 7. A private examiner said Daniel Smith died of an accidental lethal combination of methadone and two antidepressants.

SMITH STAYING AWAY
Smith is living in the Bahamas, obtained permanent residency and plans to stay indefinitely. "What has happened with her son has only made her more inclined to seek tranquility and peace," he said.

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
