I was down in Loveland this past weekend looking around Dick's Sporting Store. After buying a couple of clearance items, my buddy and I stopped at GameStop to gander. While looking around the used video games, I happened to stray towards the used DVD shelf. There was a 3 DVD's for 20 bucks deal. So I started scanning the titles. Long behold, I found the Holy Grail of cinema. No it wasn't Casablanca, or The African Queen, or even a Star Wars flick. It was He-Man, Masters of the Universe. I couldn't believe what I had found. I hadn't seen the movie since I was just a tot, but when I found it, it was like I was 8 years old again. I of course, was a He-Man fanatic back in my younger days. I even had the Gray Skull castle. My dad made me a wood sword, and I believe we actually wore out the VHS tape from our local gas station/video store in my hometown. Of course, the movie is full of cliches, not so hot acting, and overbearing dialouge. But I hadn't seen the movie in over 10 years I am sure. Still, it seemed to bring out the kid in me again. Remember, 'You have the Power!"

I loved the cartoon. We would rush home after school and watch it. And when they came up with a girl hero, She-Ra! I watched that too. |

What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
