Baseball No. 1. We know a lot of you would rather have your wisdom teeth pulled than watch baseball, or, even worse, read about it — if that defines you, skip to the next paragraph. If you’re still reading, then lament along with us the death of the 2006 season for the Colorado Rockies. The young ’uns teased us, to be sure, but during this recent losing streak, they’ve began to show their true colors. They can’t score a damn run. Yes, yes, yes, pitching is the name of the game, but you’ve gotta score a few runs to win in the regular season. So, WTF happened to the Rockies offense? Slashed in the name of a small payroll, that’s what.
Baseball No. 2. Ever wondered why a Major League Baseball player can hit a 90-mph slider with 50,000 people screaming but a PGA golfer must have complete silence to hit a ball that’s not moving? Seriously, wouldn’t golf be more fun to watch if the crowds could cheer during play?
Big Ol’ Jet Airliner. Oprah’s new jet is almost done. The queen bee of entertainment ordered a $42 million jet from Bombardier Aerospace that will sit 10 passengers. When asked, a company spokesperson said the jet will be “typically equipped” for a model in that price range. WTF? Most of us live in the land of the Kia and the Big Mac. We have no idea what’s “typical” in a $42 million plane. A masseuse, champagne and truffles, or strippers, Old E and wings? Ah, to see the Big O’s face smeared with hot sauce and ranch dressing.
People and their dogs. WTF is so hard about picking up after them? No rant here. Just pick up the poop.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
