I have a theory that I have always been a fat kid trapped in a skinny kid's body. I love food like a fat kid and I eat like a fat kid, I'm just not fat. I would even go as far as to say food is probably one of my favorite things.
For this reason, I can't wait for the Taste of Fort Collins this weekend. Two days filled with eating, how great is that? About 20 different restaurants from Fort Collins and surrounding areas will be represented at the event. My mouth is watering already.
Check out this week's Nextnc for all your Taste of Fort Collins details. We talked to contestants who will open wide for an eating contest sponsored by Eliot's Mess.
You will also find a detailed map of the park, so you will know exactly where the beer and bathrooms are. What a relief!
And to make the event complete, headlining bands Better Than Ezra and the BoDeans will rock out at night. Make sure to visit us at the NEXTnc booth Saturday and Sunday. You might just make it into our XCast. | |

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
