The surest way to hold on to a problem is to keep assigning the blame to someone who isn't you. The moon is in hyper-responsible Virgo now, helping us take control, get organized, make a plan and be accountable. If you let the Virgo moon lead, even persistent problems retreat in fear of the Virgo moon's relentlessness.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). By thinking things should be different from what they are, you're causing yourself undue stress. It's true they should be different, though -- and they will be when you focus on what's right about the situation.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). There's both safety and strength in numbers. The trick is getting the whole group to agree to stand for the same thing. If anyone can do this, you can. You relate to all kinds now.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're a social marvel. You manage to follow the rules and defy them all at the same time. You maintain a healthy relationship with dignity by being brave enough to look foolish.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Tumultuous feelings are brought on by a change in someone close to you. This affects your decisions, perhaps more than you should let it. Know that you're still loved. You're safe.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Yours is a solitary path now, but not a lonely one. You could have a deep conversation with yourself this afternoon. You even make plans to spend more time just you and you.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 14). Your efforts are admired and acknowledged this year. The fair deals you make over the next seven weeks pay abundantly. Through December you compete without comparing yourself to others and, as a result, turn in quality work for top dollar. You meet special people at formal events. Capricorn and Pisces people are your allies. Your lucky numbers are: 38, 2, 14, 35 and 5.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Talk about your strengths to the ones who are in a position to use them. You're so productive when you know that you're filling a need. You'll soon find the perfect placement for your talent.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Contrary to what many people think, struggling isn't honorable. Today it's not necessary either. If you feel yourself exerting more energy than the situation really calls for, pull back, calm down and enjoy your own breathing.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Your open mind is a magnet that attracts the best for you. Fascinating info comes streaming in. Something you learn might be uncomfortable to assimilate at first, but you're better for the knowledge.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). A change in your living arrangement may save you some money or improve your life in another way. Check it out, even if you don't think you're ready to move. Ideas are sparked.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It's time to reckon with the dominating forces in your life. You are, after all, capable of thinking for yourself, though you may have been temporarily hoodwinked into believing otherwise.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You're losing weight as the stress and burdens of life get lighter. You've resolved not to take on more than your own responsibility. Why expend your precious strength holding up walls that already stand up on their own?

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You wrack up the karmic points today. Keep the giving circle going after sundown, too. Offer an approving nod to the one who is always trying to impress you.

ASTROLOGICAL POEM: Yesterday's column featured a stream of consciousness love poem, which I collaborated on with my mentor, Joyce Jillson. Before she died we were involved in the project of setting this poetry to music. Since they were never published, I thought you might enjoy reading parts of them. Here's a poem to Taurus.

Ruled by Venus, the second child of the stars, you built the pyramids, the Internet — the first mall on Mars will bear your sign as you align yourself with riches and abundance. (Or maybe it's possible all the riches among us have no value until     they are valued by someone who appreciates them, like you do.)

Is commerce a dirty word? Not when you understand the flow of material is immaterial next to the feeling of accomplishment that you get from being the  architect of wealth.

It's not the coins and cash, but building life from dirt and ash to make something  out of nothing — to be someone from the start — in a world of luxury for all where     pleasure is an art.

And who wouldn't want to live in a world as phat as that?

CELEBRITY PROFILES: The ever-fabulous Whoopi Goldberg enjoys taking chances and bringing all her fans along for the ride. The inimitable Goldberg will use her cutting, sardonic Scorpio wit to make us laugh this year, this time in a faux documentary cartoon -- "Farce of the Penguins." I predict a return to her dramatic roots over the next year, as she teams with a mega director on an epic film project.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
