Venus and Jupiter cozy up to one another on the Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp, emanating abundant love and luck with their cosmic embrace. Our desire comes on strong, and we are overwhelmed with both the fantasy and the reality of getting what we want. It's a rare day — the lines between those two states are deliciously blurred.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're in a forgiving mood, even toward repeat offenders. Your benevolence stems from the fact that fabulous things are happening for you -- you couldn't care less about a little mishap here and there.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Just as the proof of the pudding is in the eating, the proof of your love is in the doing. And doing. And doing. Now, you're doing so much in the name of love that selfishness is a distant, fond memory.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). For every view you have, there's an opposing view. That you've met your match is not enough reason to fight, though. Even if you win, it's a Pyrrhic victory. The best thing to do is believe what you want and let others do the same.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You'll get your chance to put it on the line today. You'll likely attract a solid offer. But if, perchance, there are no takers, move on with dignity. By week's end you'll still be in a much-improved situation.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Old-fashioned values and manners are seriously underrated by most people, but not you. Your attention to social rules will be noted by truly classy people. Your name is added to an "A" list of sorts.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 15). This year's breakthrough: You stop reacting and make choices. Situations that once frustrated you are simply overcome. After a few introspective weeks in December you know your purpose and are able to make plans that suit you well. More romance, art and sophistication are in store for the new year. Leo and Virgo people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 1, 6, 34, 31 and 3.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You're sensitive to subtle energy shifts, which will help you navigate family complications. You could very well be the one who makes everyone get along. The peaceful tone you set is infectious.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Think before spending, and ignore pressure that salesmen or spouses put on you. (The pressure goes away, but debt will linger on.) On a personal note, you're extremely compatible with Aquarius people now.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You wonder: What good is patience? While one person stands quietly by, enduring the wait, the squeaky wheel is getting greased. So you become the squeaky wheel tonight, and your needs are fulfilled.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). It doesn't feel as though life is dancing to your groove. Empower yourself by asking probing questions. Are you rushing? Are you stalling? What can you do to get back to your groovy self?

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It's not one big thing, but a million little things that indicate you're all right. You're content with what you are, who you are and what you're doing now. If this isn't heaven, what is?

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). The two routes to happiness show up in a clear way. You can either get more of what you need to be happy, or you can lower your number of needs and be happy with what you have.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). There was a time when you felt rested. Purified. Your mind was as peaceful as a stretch of glorious white beach. This is not that time. But if you can recall it for just a little while, it helps you through the hectic day.

ASTROLOGICAL POEM: My mentor, Joyce Jillson was a great astrologer and highly creative woman who worked in many forms. One project we were working on together before she passed was a series of love poems, one for each astrological sign. Here is a poem to Gemini:

Don't want to see it, got to be it — faster than the speed of light

Follow the notion, body in motion (you're a laser burning bright).

Stream of consciousness, streaming media, subatomic charms and quirks

Fashionista, fast chameleon, when the light changes you morph.

Pockets of plastic, pockets of friends — pockets to keep your heart tucked in

No heavy life you're living light, it's so easy to decide

and decide and decide again,

you'll never watch it from the fringe

because you dance inside the fray

and everybody wants to live the way

You Go.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Dynamic Daisy Fuentes smartly utilizes her Scorpio beauty and brains to simultaneously further a career as an actress, hostess, model and clothing designer. Fuentes' lofty ambitions prove to girls throughout the world that doing as much as you can, whenever you can, is the best option. Her relationship with Brit Matt Goss intensifies this upcoming year as they enter into an engagement.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
