Each new moon has a focus. The new moon in Cancer, for instance, lends a freshness to domesticity. The new moon in Capricorn is a clean slate for career projects. And the new moon in Scorpio, where she is now, rebirths our powers of regeneration. The mechanisms of change are tuned up. The healer within is healed.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your choices boil down to this: Reach out, or don't reach out. It's simple and clear. Your ability to reach out is reflective of who reached out to you. Perhaps a Taurus or Pisces person?

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Everyone makes mistakes. It's your attitude about them that makes the difference. If you're ashamed of a mistake, it's a crime. If you chalk it up to learning, your mistake is a lesson.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You may have forgotten that someone wronged you, but you haven't forgotten the wonderful things they did for you. In this way, you continue to bring out the best in others.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). The question is daunting. Nonetheless, you have the answer -- you just haven't admitted it thus far. PS: There's something dizzy and electric about your connection with a certain Virgo person.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Your mental filters define your experience, and that's why your day has such a groove! You refuse to engage any action that pulls you from what you need to accomplish. That's why you say "no" to a Gemini person.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 20). You find new people to care about, passions to cultivate and wonders to unfold this year. It's not a year of fighting -- in fact, you agree to give up struggle in December. Rather, you turn toward the sun and walk. Spring brings many ways to improve business. Take the money in April. Reinvest it in May. You hit it off with Cancer and Aquarius people. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 3, 9, 11 and 50.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Carve out a niche. So what if your title is self-proclaimed -- somebody's got to proclaim it! Also, find an hour this afternoon to clear the static around your finances.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Your health improves because you open your awareness. Food issues arise. Your nutritive needs are changing. Be sure you're using food for sustenance instead of comfort and entertainment.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The theme today is "definitions." Some have confined you; others have expanded you. Now you're making up new definitions for relationships and yourself. A Pisces person helps.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You believe those close to you can do better. As long as people can change, the world can change. You don't mind being an agitator. It's the grain of sand that makes the oyster form a pearl.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're showered with gifts, praise or invitations. Share. Pass the good will on to the next person. This ripple of positive energy spreads. You can use the loving charge to dissolve longstanding problems.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). It's challenging to be mindful of other people's time and protective of your own. On the other hand, there's a great deal of curiosity to satisfy. Get your must-do work out of the way by noon, and you're free to explore.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You've already debunked the myth that what happens in your world makes you feel a certain way. Really what you think and feel determines what happens in your world. Now if everyone else would just get that!

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: The following is a love poem to Virgo -- a collaboration that I was working on with my mentor and friend Joyce Jillson before she passed. Joyce spoke and sang them over music, and the result was mesmerizing.

Your spiritual quest is that of the heavenly alchemist

Mystic powers untold will change iron into gold

Saint Joan in her Glory, you build on the story

It's an unfinished work, bringing heaven down to Earth

Wise Virgo, your naivete is a paradox

The ancient and the modern are to you, interlocked.

So place your Solomon seal on the sacredness you feel.

And cut through mediocrity with the sword of Damocles

And now bliss. And now oneness

And now the union of your soul to the universal whole

And now bliss vibrates among us

The perfection of one soul can save the universal whole.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: There's a reason fearless Scorpio cable news honcho Larry King lands the most difficult and elusive interviews — trustworthiness. A fantastic interrogator and a dynamic personality to watch, King has rightly become a legend in the broadcast journalism world. I see more success on the personal side for King and his wife, Shawn, as they welcome a third child into the world by the end of 2008.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
