This is the last day of the Scorpio solar transit. Scorpio energy is personal, mysterious and internal. Gather up your chi (chi: what the Chinese philosophers name the vital force inherent in all beings and things) into a big, fat ball — you'll soon be tossing it about. Tomorrow, the sun moves into Sagittarius, an outgoing, effervescent tone.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). The nature of experimentation is to do things wrong until you figure it out. Play. Be free of self-criticism. This is the time to commit yourself to a few wonderful mistakes.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Sometimes your subconscious is just too crafty to hold down. Random choices add up to something that looks deliberate. You'll be amazed at what you know (but didn't know you knew).
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're humble and honest enough to admit your frailties. This is how you come to work things out with another human and journey together pleasantly.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Envy could alter the dynamic of important friendships. Anticipate this problem, and stay away from potentially incendiary statements. Interpret signals from loved ones — you're so good at that.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Your entire psyche is honed to make good luck happen. Take a chance on new moneymaking prospects. The old financial method is either getting too boring or not working so great.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 21). You think you want tranquility, but it becomes obvious, after a few interesting choices you make in December, that what you really want is action. And you get it, nonstop. March brings travel. June is a high point for your love life — it's like you can do no wrong in the eyes of another. Commitments are made. Leo and Pisces people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 20, 45, 31 and 27.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The Greeks believed that charisma was a gift of the gods, but like all divine gifts it has its cost. The cost you could pay today has to do with attracting someone irksome.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). People are constantly planting seeds of thought in your mind. Whether or not those seeds grow has to do with how much attention you're willing to give them.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You'd like to be gentle and kind, but you sense that what's most called for is the drill sergeant in you. You're right. A direct order from you starts business rolling.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You crave the unobtainable. Just be careful not to choose a target solely based on the fact that it looks impossible to hit. On a financial note, the check really is in the mail.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Experienced people have much to offer you, especially now, when objectivity is nearly impossible. Tell your thoughts to someone trustworthy, and listen to the reply.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Be mindful of how you feel around friends and colleagues. Your body is giving you signals that will help you make a distinction between action taken out of love and action meant to manipulate you.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). There's much that you need from your support group now, but try not to expect a superhuman effort from others. Concentrate on the factors you have complete control over.
ASTROLOGICAL POEM: The following is a love poem to Libra. It's a collaboration I was working on with my mentor and predecessor Joyce Jillson before she passed. She spoke these words over music, to a mesmerizing effect!
Civilizations since the beginning of time celebrated the sun's entrance into Libra as the life-giving harvest.
The time to reap what you sow, to hold what you earned, to kiss the destiny you created. This perfect balance is represented in the scales of justice, the symbol of your virtue.
And you are virtuous, child of Libra. Weighing the dimensions, studying the dilemmas, adding up the equation, but seldom deciding.
There is some truth in everything, isn't there? But consider this your challenge: to take a stand.
Venus ruled, wide-eyed lover of love, king of wit, queen of charm, jack of diplomacy, friend to all suits -- but who will be your love?
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Giggly Hollywood royal Goldie Hawn has a secretive Scorpio sun, while her communication planet, Mercury, is nestled into gregarious Sagittarius. She possesses the uncanny ability to delve deep into any given film character, simultaneously allowing her gleaming personality to shine through. I see grandchild No. 2 soon, as newlywed son Oliver Hudson welcomes his first baby.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
