The ever-surprising seventh planet goes retrograde today, a transit that will last through Nov. 19. That's Uranus, the revolutionary -- the one who represents change in an instant. If you listen closely, you can hear the distinct clattery-click of the first domino falling down in a long, swirling line of perfectly spaced dominos.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Matters of identity are of key importance to your sign. You create an image of yourself in your mind -- is this really you? The exploration lasts your entire life, but it's particularly interesting today.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Why merely "date" or "meet" or "hook up" when you can genuinely and profoundly share an experience? The former takes planning, the latter takes everything in the moment.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The only thing between you and the person you want to be is a habit or two. For instance, the habit of giving time to your creative life could be revolutionary for you.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your matter-of-fact realism is great for some friends and not so effective with others. Know your audience. Those who are as sensitive as you could use a little more coddling -- can you blame them?
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). The planets align to cross-examine your conscience. Where were you on the night of ______ (fill in the blank)? If you're feeling guilty for any reason, now is the time to get it off your chest.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (June 19). You're an inspiration. In fact, more than one person will name you as a mentor or great love this year. You'll be hiring, inviting and inspiring those close to you in July. Travel in August is eye-opening. Adventures continue in October when you'll be expanding your knowledge through work in a new area. Virgo and Aries people are adoring partners. Your lucky numbers are: 9, 40, 19, 3 and 15.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Your best luck is born in practicality. It also helps that you have sound business judgment and good taste -- you're discriminating and, truth be told, a bit of a snob, too! Use all of your gifts on today's opportunity.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). What some people would call a luxury, you call a necessity. You created this lifestyle you've become accustomed to, and a Gemini can help you create even more of it.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The images in your mind have power. Take them to the next level. Don't imagine yourself as you think everyone else imagines themselves. Even your daydreams should bear your signature style.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The stars suggest this is a vivid, heightened, anything-can-happen day. You might want to give up on being sensible -- sensible only limits your options.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You sometimes think of the heart you broke long ago. The healing has made it better than ever, and love is given freely to someone else as a result. Just living your truth is a good deed.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I have a friend who was born on May 20, 1964. I have found that his horoscope is more Gemini than Taurus. I've heard that the older you get, the more you slip out of your sign and into the next. Is that true?"
To some extent, that can be true. Another theory among some of those who believe in reincarnation is that your soul progresses through the zodiac. (If you were born an Aries, in the next incarnation you would be a Taurus, etc.) Your friend's chart is rich with Taurus influences -- the sun, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter are all in the earth sign of the bull. Is he drawn to beauty, luxury and quality? Is he someone people can count on? Does he love to spend money? If not, maybe he just plain doesn't fit the Taurus mold! I suggest that he read the sign he most identifies with. This is true for everyone. I don't believe astrology is meant to limit our self-description or our choices. It's best used to inform them and cause us to be more mindful of who we are and what affect we have on others.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Striking tennis phenom Venus Williams utilizes her dynamic Gemini energy to conquer the world both on and off the tennis court. I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
