ALAN JACKSON: Pure country
 People who don’t listen to country music probably know the refrain to “Chattahoochee.”
Heck, people who can’t stand country music probably at least know the tune.
The song is as inextricably linked to Alan Jackson as his signature white cowboy hat and blond mustache.
The tune rocketed Jackson to national fame in 1992, from his third album, “A Lot About Living (And A Little ‘Bout Love)” — see, you do know the refrain!
Since then, he has been one of country music’s most reliably country stars. No crossover pop-ish love songs or ballads here. It’s all country, all the time.
Jackson, originally from Newnan, Ga., moved to Nashville with his wife Denise, where he worked in the mailroom of The Nashville Network for a time before his career took off in the early 1990s.
He gained the national spotlight after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with the sentimental tribute, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning).”
Jackson’s most recent album, “Precious Memories,” came out in February and is full of traditional gospel music.
He will perform in Greeley with Miranda Lambert, a 23-year-old new country star from Lindale, Texas, who rose to fame as a contestant on the TV show “Nashville Star.”

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk.
