BIG & RICH: Unexpected
 Big & Rich call their music “country music without prejudice.”
We’re talking country that has its own sound, maybe a sound you might not expect from country music.
The Stampede thought enough of Big & Rich to give them the coveted Fourth of July concert spot, a slot that, in the past, was reserved for Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers and others.
Big & Rich will be accompanied by Cowboy Troy, perhaps the world’s only 250-pound black cowboy rapper who can speak three languages.
The group’s album, “Horse of a Different Color,” reached No. 1 in both the Billboard national and country charts.
John Rich was a member of the huge band Lonestar (and a Stampede favorite) before meeting Big Kenny (yes, that’s his name) in 1998.
The group has received success with such hits as “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).” “Holy Water” and “Comin’ To Your City.”
Big & Rich play country music, but country music that has room for everything from the Everly Brothers to Limp Bizkit to Queen, from honky-tonk to rock ‘n’ rap.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
