It's over for Britney and Kevin.
Britney Spears filed for divorce Tuesday from her rapper-dancer husband Kevin Federline, citing irreconcilable differences, Los Angeles County Superior Court spokeswoman Kathy Roberts said.
The couple married in 2004 and have a 1-year-old son, Sean Preston, and an infant son born Sept. 12. That baby's name is reportedly Jayden James. The couple hasn't confirmed the name.
BRIT COMEBACK?
The divorce news comes a day after Spears surprised David Letterman on Monday night's "Late Show" looking slim and svelte. Spears popped up from behind Letterman's desk wearing a little black dress and blond bob haircut.
The conversation went like this:
Letterman: "Oh, my god. ... Nice to see you. How are you? Oh, you look wonderful."
Spears: "See, I'm in town, and I'm such a huge fan. ... I had to stop by."
Letterman: "Oh, that's very sweet of you."
Spears: "Uh, no, I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about Will Ferrell."
The pop star then strode backstage to meet Ferrell, Letterman's guest.
OTHER BRITNEY NEWS
A judge ruled that Spears can't sue Us Weekly over a published rumor she and Federline made a sex tape.
The judge threw out the $10 million lawsuit filed by Spears, saying Spears "put her modern sexuality squarely, and profitably, before the public eye" and it would be unlikely for the magazine article to be found defamatory.
The lawsuit stemmed from an article published Oct. 17, 2005, in the magazine's "Hot Stuff" column under the headline, "Brit & Kev: Secret Sex Tape? New parents have a new worry: racy footage from 2004."
The article claimed Spears and Federline feared the release of a secret sex tape, which they had viewed with their estate planning lawyers.

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
