The Sagittarius sun teaches us that energy can get stale and stagnant like old bread, but that there is always a fresh inspiration if we're willing to take a trip out of our usual environment. The planets are arguing now, agitating the cosmic soup, stirring up old muck. Refuse emotional dredge. Get into something new. Freshen up your scene.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). As the first fire sign of the zodiac, you mimic flames with the arch of your body, the way you flicker and brighten when fed the right fuel and the way everything in your path catches on to your burning energy.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Today's offerings to you are unusual. It's easy to be paranoid, think the worst or simply think too much. You're very fortunate when you just say yes and do your best.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Cultural attunement is your thing. You know what's hip, hot and newsy. And people less clued in can't help but be attracted to you or even a little afraid of you. After all, you could expose them as being out of it!

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Negotiations are tough. When you have the urge to speak up, follow it! However, try not to reply, "In your dreams," to offers that seem ridiculous to you. Diplomacy is your success key.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Getting into a new partnership isn't favored today, but improving the partnership you're already in is an excellent use of your energy. Agree that you'll work things out, no matter what comes.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 28). You're given to hyperbole, wanting your experiences to be the ultimate. This year, your hyperboles are closer to reality. It's a time when previous limits, largely self-imposed, are blown out of the water. Push through your resistance next month. This spring brings an enticing invite -- go! Destiny awaits! Your ties with Leo and Pisces people are tight. Lucky numbers are: 7, 30, 22, 35 and 2.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You're feeling shy. Social situations can be stressful even when you know everyone involved. Take hold of your thoughts. Keep them from trailing down winding paths that lead to dark places.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). It's always weird the way things fly out of your mouth -- things you never meant to say, promise or reveal. Perhaps it's your heart talking and not your head. Consider the truth in these unguarded statements.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Your nearest and dearest operates on a different value system than yours. That doesn't make it wrong, just inconvenient. It's easier to be tolerant than persuasive now.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Read. Your friends don't know enough, your boss doesn't know enough and your loved ones don't know enough about what it is you're after. Research brings enlightenment.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). People create rules for various reasons -- and not necessarily the right reasons or the reasons that make sense to you. Investigate the root of the limits that are being imposed on you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Not everything whole is admirable. Not everything real is worth watching. Be open-minded. If you're too moral, you'll miss the slice of heaven that's offered to you.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're in a position to employ someone, if not directly, then by the products and services you purchase. Hire the one who is working for the sheer love of it. (Yes, that's possible.)

ASTROLOGICAL POEMS: My mentor Joyce Jillson was collaborating with me on a series of love poems before she passed in 2004. Joyce spoke one for each sign over music, to mesmerizing effect. Here is part of her poetic love note to Pisces.

Pisces, sons and daughters of Neptune's inspiration

And the last child of the zodiac with a developed fascination

For other worlds and ways of seeing ours with extra sensory sight psychic     knowing, sixth sense calling eternal souls sweeping the night

Free the innocent, find forgiveness, find true meaning is your quest

You're a healer and a teacher, you lead others to their best

Talk to animals, talk with poetry, rituals communicate

Ceremony, mediation, prayers invoke amazing grace

    Like a pebble

    You are the ripple

    Everything changes

    It's just a miracle.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Those who say "winning isn't everything, it's the only thing" obviously haven't paid enough attention to the skyrocketing career of Clay Aiken. American Idol's most famous runner-up again found success on the charts this year with his latest release "A Thousand Different Ways." Fans simply can't get enough of this carrot-topped crooner. This Sagittarius broadens his artistic palette next year.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
