 LOS ANGELES — Without him, we wouldn’t have “Charlie’s Angels” or “Beverly Hills 90210.”
Television producer Aaron Spelling, father of actress Tori Spelling, died Friday at his Los Angeles home after suffering a stroke June 18, his publicist said. He was 83.
Spelling was a one-time movie bit player. He turned to television production and created a massive number of hit series.
Among his other offerings:
- “Dynasty”
- “Love Boat”
- “Starsky and Hutch”
- “T.J. Hooker” and
- “Fantasy Island”
 He also produced more than 140 television movies offering some of Hollywood’s brightest stars their first leading roles on television, including Nick Nolte and John Travolta.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Spelling provided series and movies exclusively for ABC and is credited for the network’s rise to major status.
 Jokesters referred to it as “The Aaron Broadcasting Company.”

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
