 A painting on its way to the Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan has been stolen.
The painting, "Children with a Cart," by famed Spanish artist Francisco de Goya was en route from Ohio's Toledo Museum of Art, which owns it. The oil painting was in the care of a professional art transporter when it disappeared last week around Scranton, Pa.
The FBI is investigating, and the insurer has offered a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of the artwork.
THE PAINTING
The image of four children at play, completed in 1778, was insured for about $1 million and was slated to be exhibited with about 135 paintings by Spanish masters. The museums said in a release that the painting, measuring nearly 5-foot high and 3-foot wide, "would be virtually impossible to sell and therefore has no value on the open market." | Only registered users can write comments.

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk.
