The Mercury retrograde that started yesterday is now well underway. What a trickster the speedy planet is -- a mischievous brother who plots practical jokes as a form of his affection Ö we hope. Or maybe he's just bored. Either way, the best tonic is laughter. These are the situations that will be remembered for years to come.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Satisfaction comes from doing something you've never done before. A love interest emerges from the shadows -- perhaps a flirty Gemini. You probably had no idea this person has been thinking of you.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). All forward movement is good, though it won't seem that way at first. Today exercises your faith muscle. Those who are younger take their behavior cues from you.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Difficult people have their strong points, or they wouldn't be in your life to begin with. Luckily, your warmth could melt an ice age. Shine on, and soon, you're calling the shots again.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). An ex could throw a wrench in your new romantic works. Channel positive energy toward your old flame. Just the power of your thoughts thwarts potential drama.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). It's "who" rather than "what" you know. Get into the party, even if you have to crash! Your confidence is so high that you'll be accepted anywhere you try to go.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 5). You find new ways and reasons to enjoy life, which raises your lifestyle to a level you've long wanted to attain. You're credited for something important now. Love is around you in August, and one special partner makes your heart sing. November brings vacation. Business booms in January. Capricorn and Scorpio people value and adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 4, 36, 44 and 5.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You'll feel like letting up on that strong self-discipline you've established, but now is the time to persevere! If you let yourself get off the productivity train, it will be weeks before you can get back on.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The stars favor your efforts to become a connoisseur, a fan and an enthusiast. Once you decide what to be passionate about, you'll watch the doors open -- there are many fellow devotees who would love to share with you.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). A close relationship reaches nearly telepathic heights today. You'll find yourself acting in synchronicity with this person even though you haven't communicated your plans verbally.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The planets align to highlight your mentors, teachers and leaders. A wise guide is not only happy to help you along the path to your dreams, but this person may also be willing to be "on call" for you.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Taking time to let your body regenerate now will save you from getting sick later. In short, if you "just don't feel like it," let yourself slide. It's more important to get the rest.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). When your talent is in full bloom, it will be widely recognized. Today is about humbling yourself, experimenting, asking questions and practicing. Soon, you'll be a hot property.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your job goes better when you're enthusiastic about making things run smoothly. Even things you've done a million times before have potential for perfection.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I'm a Gemini, 22, and not the least bit interested in settling down with one person. So, who should I date?"
Anyone and everyone. This is your time for exploration, fun and interesting conversation. It's the way you date that enriches your life, not who you date. Keep it light, noncommittal and mostly platonic. Adopt the attitude of a person on an overseas vacation who will be returning home in one week's time. (Think: Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday.") Tell each interested party that you're very interested in friendship. Go "Dutch treat" often. Highlights will include a Sagittarius: No one can inspire you like a Sagittarius. At first, you want to compete with this sign; then, you simply want to lavish your unending affection on Sagittarius. Also, your fellow air sign Aquarius is a natural fit. As a couple of intellectuals, the respect factor is high. Chemistry sometimes gives way to a comfortable familial feeling, so you may have to make a special effort if you really find yourself feeling attached to this sign. It's also notable that Libra adores and pursues you for as long as you stay out of reach.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Drummers base their life around rhythm and routine, and fortunately for us, legendary Beatle Ringo Starr includes entertaining us in his yearly list of "to-do's." Cancer musicians would usually rather stay home, but Ringo's summer All-Starr Band tour has a higher calling than just a musician peddling his wares; it's that of a man generously inviting us into his spiritual journey of laughter and light.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
