Alex Tanguay is gone! ...When did this happen. Traded to the Calgary Flames for a defenseman and a second-round draft pick.
Tanguay was the only reason for me to watch. All my favorite players on the team are gone.
My Avalanche team will be hollow. I'll cheer when they win and feel bad when they lose, but whatever. Now they will probably have enough money to sign Blake. whoopee...
What a bad start to the day...
ugh! Written by Pikachu on 2006-06-29 08:45:47 I should be used to it. This is not the first time and prob not the last, that I will lose a fav. Oh, and for the record. I also hate Calgary.... gross. | It's just your turn Written by Einstein on 2006-06-29 08:43:14 Trying to develop and hold on to team favorites in professional sports has become virtually impossible in this age of free-agency and salary caps. The Avs are no exception. I felt the same way when Peter Forsberg and Adam Foote were traded. The tenure of a player like Joe Sakic remaining with the same team for all these years has become extremely rare. Almost impossible. Even Hall of Fame players like Patrick Roy have other teams in their past. It's a fact of life in pro sports. It's just your turn, Sandra, to lose your team favorite. You can still cheer for him when the Flames play everyone except the Avs. Just be mindful of your next allegiance with the Avs. Chances are, he will move on at some point when the dollars so dictate. |

I go 70, 30. (51) writen by: Pikachu Hola Amigos! I'm Sandra. I like to believe that people are 70 percent good and 30 percent dumb. I'm stickin to that story. Reading this blog might make you want to be good, but probably just dumb. |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will.

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
