What is it with these corporate marketing "geniuses" who think all women like everything they have to be pink. Motorola just came out with their Pink Razor:
The salesperson at verizon in his infinite intelligence told me; "well the magenta one isn't really pink it's like a light red." NEWS FLASH (to take a line from Red vs.Blue) There already is a color for light red, it's called PINK!
Before you say, "well I wear pink to make fun of conformity" let me say, I get it; pink is a girl color but you wear it in non-conformity. I think we all get it. . . We just don't care. NOBODY cares.
Now guys that wear pink, I'm not criticizing your tie, or your damn socks (yes, I've seen guys wear pink socks, it's sick) I, myself don't think that I wear pink well. I don't do it justice. I should at least become a member of an uppity country club where I can sport my pink sweater, or pink hat while on the golf course.
Pink neck ties? somebody tell me I didn't see pink neck ties on display. Tell me that your red ties got wet and stained your white ties and you're trying to reduce stock. . .Yes?. . .No. they really are supposed to be that color. Only a few men in the world can get away with wearing pink ties and I am not one of them.
I blame those same marketing "geniuses" who engrained in everyones brain that Pink is a girl color even when we were very very young. (pink transformers were girls and were marketed towards our sisters) why can't girls like blue, or green or something? because stupid movies starring idiot Reese Witherspoon (who can't even act at gunpoint I might add) come out and are crammed down our throat wrapped in pepto-bismol pink. (speaking of course about "Legally Blonde" and the mind numbing sequel. Both of which I will never see for fear of becoming dumber by the time the credits roll.)
Pink tool set eh? "Isn't it cute?" NO. it's not. it's pathetic and sad.

FullMetal Alchemist (48) "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." |

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)
We call it insight, you call it what you will. | |

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
