BOBBY

Fictionalized account of the day Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated gripes you with stories of cross-section of characters.
BORAT

Sacha Baron Cohen stars in the title role of this mock-doc in which the buffoonish Kazakhstan tele-journalist travels to America, offends everyone, and tries to meet, and marry, “Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson.
CASINO ROYALE
3/4 stars, 2 hrs. 20 mins., PG-13
Daniel Craig’s possesses a distinctive mix of macho, menace and magnetism in this kickiest of James Bond reboots based on the Ian Fleming novel that started it all. With Judi Dench, Eva Green and Mads Mikkelsen.
DECK THE HALLS
2/4 stars, 1 hr. 35 mins., PG
This is the movie equivalent of fruitcake: It comes every Christmas, and you really don’t want it. Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito are neighbors who try to outdo each other in the decorating department.
DEJA VU
2/4 stars, 2 hrs. 6 mins., PG-13
Denzel Washington and director Tony Scott collaborate on a visually stunning film that falls short in covering up obvious plot holes.
FLUSHED AWAY
3/4 stars, 1 hr. 30 mins., PG
Toilet humor has long been a staple of movie comedies — from gross farce to, well, gross farce. But the jolly, computer-animated roller-coaster ride “Flushed Away” takes potty-ness to a new levels.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
2/4 stars, 1 hr. 26 mins., PG-13
The comedies of Christopher Guest have always had a fondness for their hapless characters. “For Your Consideration,” on the other hand, feels mean.
And instead of oozing sympathy the film is borderline contemptuous, if not of the characters themselves then of the acting profession in general.
THE FOUNTAIN
2/4 stars, 1 hr. 35 mins., PG-13
Three parallel stories inhabited by Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz touch heartstrings but get muddied out-of-order editing.
HAPPY FEET
3/4 stars, 1 hr. 48 mins., PG
A trippy mash-up of “March of the Penguins” and a hyperactive jukebox musical, the computer-animated “Happy Feet” offers the tale of an outcast Antarctic hatchling who can’t carry a tune, but, boy, can he dance..
THE QUEEN
4/4 stars, 1 hr. 43 mins., PG-13
Compassionate as it is critical, satirical as it is serious, “The Queen” is less a docudrama about British Prime Minister Tony Blair and HRH Elizabeth II in the aftermath of Princess Diana’s death than it is a political romantic comedy.
STRANGER THAN FICTION
3/4 stars, 1 hr. 53 mins., PG-13
As “The Truman Show” is to Jim Carrey, this trippy tale will be for Will Ferrell. Take a brainy premise, a smart director and a top-flight cast, then throw an ex-TV sketch comedy knucklehead into the mix — voila, a thinking person’s dramedy.
SANTA CLAUS 3

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
