Mercury has joined the procession through Cancer, vowing not to shy away from emotional matters, but to embrace them wholly, enthusiastically and often. If those emotional matters have to do with home and family, especially mom, all the better. Now through Aug. 10, engage in a dialogue about issues that were swept under the rug.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Though you enjoy interesting and new people, today it's more relaxing to have family around you. They have your back, so to speak, and help you deliver on your responsibilities.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Your boss seems to have an ever-changing agenda, and you're beginning to wonder if this person actually knows what he or she is doing. It's a fine time for applying Zen principles to your job.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Money and investment advice is featured, as is planning and discussing financial moves. Compare the results from the past before making decisions about the future. Tonight, love is expressed in passionate declarations.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You're lucky when you read between the lines, peek behind the curtain, think beyond the obvious. Intriguing secrets are revealed. Also, you have exceptional stars for romance; consider a trip to an exotic locale.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Take charge! You're right, but what counts is convincing others. If you have to build an argument or dare a confrontation, it's OK. This leads to a positive breakthrough.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 11). You come up with new, motivating inner dialogue, and it makes a phenomenal difference in your year. This month, a windfall is a direct result of your affiliation with powerful people. Family shows their love in August. A purchase you make in September is a symbol of your hard work. There is a golden bond between you and a Pisces or Virgo. Your lucky numbers are: 30, 1, 49, 32 and 4.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Hard-to-live-up-to expectations are pressing in on you; tell bosses and family you'll do your best, but don't overcommit. Truly, when your intentions are in the right place, the planets give you that extra boost.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). It's as easy to do something new as it will be to show up at the same old scene. The bonus for venturing into the unknown is the sense of sophistication and accomplishment you'll get at the end of the day.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Being comfortable in relationships is what's important today. It's the little errands and conversations you have together throughout the day that build your love bond. A Gemini cracks you up.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Someone with your best interest in mind is nonetheless getting annoying. Diplomacy is a must. Legal, tax or custody matters are eventually solved in your favor, so relax and try not to think about it for now.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Impulsive, quick decisions are featured. You also have luck opening your mouth when you normally would have kept it shut. There are some things that really should be said out loud.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). The stars suggest you won't be in the mood to do anything that's good for you, but try this: Exercise for the sheer joy of it, read for the fascination factor, dance because dancing is who you are.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Speculative ventures should be scrutinized. Luckily, your sign is streetwise and can scam a mile away. In those gray areas where you're just not sure, trust the time-honored and reliable.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "My parents were always strict with me and raised me in a certain religion, which I won't mention. I don't want to follow that church or those beliefs anymore. I still love my family, but it seems like if I'm not in their fold, they don't feel the same way toward me. Can I still have a relationship with them and follow my own beliefs? My birthday is May 27, 1973."
Yes! There's something in you that wants to be acknowledged for being right, being smart and being independent -- that warrior Aries moon in your chart! Are you willing to let that part of you go around your parents? Let them be right in their world, you can be right in your world, and everyone wins. Give up the need to discuss your differences. You're an excellent communicator with sound arguments for your position, but you also recognize the futility of trying to change your parents' belief systems. Mars in Pisces allows you to feel compassion for your parents even though you're frustrated and hurt. Spend time with your parents in group situations and with other relatives around. Controversial subjects are less likely to arise, and the social atmosphere is an excellent setting for you.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: She's a sultry singing/acting/accessories-designing star -- it's like the world can't get enough of Jessica Simpson. She and other multitasking Cancer women will be paring life down to a single focus this upcoming year. Simpson chooses her first love -- singing. Her upcoming release "And the Band Played On" reminds fans why they were originally drawn to her.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
