ATLANTA  — Three people, including a former Coca-Cola administrative assistant and two ex-cons, were indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury on a conspiracy charge alleging they tried to sell Coca-Cola trade secrets to rival soft-drink maker Pepsi.
Former Coca-Cola administrative assistant Joya Williams and ex-cons Ibrahim Dimson and Edmund Duhaney pleaded not guilty at their arraignment.

MYSTERIOUS COKE PRODUCT
Prosecutors said a box containing two undisclosed Coca-Cola product samples and other confidential company documents were found in Duhaney’s home during a search on July 5 -- the day all three were arrested.
In the initial criminal complaint, authorities referred to only one product sample. Coke has declined to say what product or products the samples relate to. The indictment refers only to a mysterious “Project N.......”

NO COKE. PEPSI
The alleged plot was foiled after Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo Inc. turned over to The Coca-Cola Co. a May letter that Pepsi had received from a man the FBI later identified as Dimson. In the letter, Coke trade secrets were offered to “the highest bidder,” the indictment said. It did not say if the suspects offered the secrets to any company other than Pepsi.

COURT ACTION
U.S. Magistrate Judge Joel Feldman ordered Duhaney and Dimson, who served time together at a federal prison in Alabama, held without bail pending trial. Williams, who has since been fired, was previously granted bond and remains free. She did not speak to reporters as she left the courthouse.
Prosecutors allege that she took the Coca-Cola information and gave it to Dimson and Duhaney.

THE EVIDENCE SO FAR
Along with the documents found in Duhaney’s home, an FBI agent testified that a marked $50 bill was found in Duhaney’s possession when he was arrested. The marked bill was part of $30,000 in cash that the FBI gave Dimson during its undercover operation. The agent also acknowledged, however, that nearly all of his contacts during the investigation were with Dimson.
The government also has taped conversations among all three suspects.
The three were arrested last week on a criminal complaint that included charges of wire fraud and unlawfully stealing and selling Coke trade secrets. The indictment for a single count of conspiracy sets the case on course for trial.

FullMetal Alchemist (48)

FullMetal Alchemist"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth."

3 Wise-asses (15)

3wiseassesWe're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!) We call it insight, you call it what you will.

Ravings, rantings, and gibberish. (36)

DrewWhat is up FoCo? I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado. I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks. Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know! --Drew
