New Year's Eve was canceled in Bangkok after at least six bombs rocked the capital late Sunday, killing at least two people.
At this point, no one has claimed responsibility for the crime, but a turbulent year in Thailand has made for several possible suspects. There was a military coup three months ago and a Muslim insurgency is gaining steam in the country's southernmost provinces.

INJURY REPORT
At least 20 people were injured in the blasts. Here's the breakdown:
— Police Lt. Gen. Chongrak Juranond said one person died from injuries at Chulalongkorn hospital. Another police officer, Lt. Col. Teerawit Butsaban, said a second person succumbed to injuries at another hospital.
— Six people were injured by a bomb in a slum.
— Four were hurt by a bomb near a department store at Victory Monument, a major traffic circle.
— The other blasts were near a police post, where two were injured.
— A fourth exploded in a northern suburb.

NOT UNCOMMON
Bombings and shootings occur almost daily in Thailand's three southernmost provinces of Yala, Narathiwat and Pattani, where an Islamic insurgency that flared in January 2004 has killed more than 1,900 people.

Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
