UNSOLED: THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME
Chris Weichert’s first thought was to name his store Land Speed after his first skateboard sponsor. However, after talking with friends, he decided it sounded too much like a running store. While living in San Diego, Weikert sold shoes on eBay full time for a while. A column on eBay caught his eye, which read sold/unsold. He really liked the play on words and found many meanings in it.
“It’s about being true to yourself,” he said. “For me, personally, it also has a feeling about the whole spiritual way of living. Before I got sober, I was definitely unsouled, so to speak. I was just living like I didn’t have a soul. There’s a multitude of meaning behind the name.”

I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
