The ancient Greeks had two words for time. "Chronos" defines a certain quantity of time, while "kairos" refers to an opportune moment in which something special happens. The Virgo moon and Capricorn sun are in agreement — for something special to happen, we must make it happen. Use your sensitivity to "kairos" to know exactly when.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your conversations crackle with wit and tension. You say what you think, but not all you think. The part you leave out is significant, and it keeps your audience coming back for more.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You prize strength and competency, but no one can embody those qualities all the time. If you can't see the path, or are unable to walk it on your own, there is someone willing to hold your hand.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Researchers discovered that test subjects who switched back and forth while completing tasks took longer to complete them than those who stuck to one task at a time. They obviously weren't studying you!
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Just when you're feeling lethargic, someone irritating comes to your rescue. Knowing you'll have to beat out the one who doesn't deserve the prize, but will claim it just the same, is fuel propelling you toward the reward.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're serious about your fun. If you use time efficiently, those you live with will be mindful not to make you wait. A few words from you is all it takes to make an arrangement final.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Jan. 8). It's your year of stubborn creativity, moody brilliance and beneficial annoyances. You take the negatives around you and turn them into positives, not just for you, but for those you love. This month brings a windfall. February is a career high. August shows you parts of the world you've always wanted to see. Aries and Pisces people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 11, 40, 35, 39 and 51.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). A loved one feels possessive of you, which could push you into better asserting your independence. However, it's even more important than usual to be a good listener tonight.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Your popularity is on the rise, but new people aren't as true as those you've known for a long time. Keep your faithful friends in your inner sanctum where they belong.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Opportunistic people pose a threat to your project, but none as great as the one you yourself pose. The hardest thing is to surrender your ego to the guidance of your higher self. Once you do, no one has power over you.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There's no need to make a special person believe you're perfect. For starters, it won't work. Secondly, you're attractive because of who you are and the particular dilemma you're in.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're so used to trying to save time or money that you haven't given a thought as to what you're going to do with it once it's saved. Today provides the answer.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Differences are ironed out through honest dialogue. It's the being honest part that's hard. Feelings won't be hurt as easily as you think they will. You'll be surprised how much better the truth is.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Sign up for the job that no one wants or knows how to do. You're alluring when you're learning something new — your vulnerability makes others want to hug you. And you're in a mood to let them, too!
FORECAST 2007 — ARIES: All years are not created equal. This year outshines the last. So you may want to do a review, somehow documenting the highlights of 2006 just so it doesn't get eclipsed by 2007, and so you don't forget all that groundwork you did to allow 2007 to unfold so graciously.
LOVE: You can't help but be gleeful when relationships are useful as well as emotionally satisfying. The right person can improve your living quarters and give you the career push you need, too. March and June are favored for hot dates and new connections. September is commitment time.
CAREER: The second week of February brings the motivation you've needed to step it up. There's a chance to move laterally in October, but this turns out to be a jump in pay and in power.
ADVENTURE: July is your best vacation month. A getaway with friends in September is just as exotic, though it's rather local by comparison.
FINANCE: A solid investment made in April enables you to have more choices. Don't let loved ones influence you in August. You're a maverick. What works for others won't work for you, and what works for you is unreachable to others.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Capricorns are traditionalists at heart. So what about the innovative David Bowie? He has made a tradition of being nontraditional. From "Ziggy Stardust" to "Let's Dance" to "I'm Afraid of Americans," Bowie's musical catalog runs the gamut of an original and inspirational thinker. But when it comes to his home life, you can be sure it's utterly normal, at least by rock-icon standards!

| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
