The lunar shift from Scorpio to Sagittarius turns passion into action. But it's not the tiresome kind of action that drains our energy resources. It's swift and accurate. Stellar moves this afternoon are followed by bewilderment later tonight as you wonder exactly what you did. You may never be able to duplicate it. Suffice it to say, it worked.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You can do it. That's the surest thing you know. Charge forward before you have a chance to listen to the peanut gallery. They always say the same thing anyway — let them say it to someone else.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You're walking the fine line between showing off and sharing your talent. Once you prove you don't need it, loved ones will give you all the attention you want.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Your schedule is packed. This is even more true if your plans are to do nothing. "Nothing" takes up even more hours than "something" does. So honor your plans and do them — or don't do them — to the fullest.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your charm has no limits, and so you apply it generously. What you get away with is amazing. (For those of you who lost your charm somewhere in last week's bustle, this is your day to retrace your steps and find it.)
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Your vantage point is no more remarkable than the person's to your left, or to your right. And yet you are seeing an entirely different world. Quietly review your astounding findings tonight.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Jan. 14). The trick to mastering your environment this year is not to take it all too seriously. New choices reveal themselves to you over the next 10 weeks. As a result, this spring you earn your money differently, spend time with new people and make key upgrades to your home. Your relationships with Scorpio and Pisces people are profoundly satisfying. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 40, 1, 20 and 53.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). If you're still hurting from a past injury, be it physical or emotional, it's now time to call in a professional to help your healing process along — one of the many ways you can be good to yourself.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You'll meet people who are very different from you, and you'll still be able to communicate beautifully. Create space. When there's space, others tell you more than you would ask of them.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The stars align to help you fulfill your intellectual or artistic potential. You're learning to turn neutral events into opportunities. And there are more coming, so don't feel that you must jump at the first one.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Creative ventures are a process, unproven and wonderfully surprising. That said, the project is probably taking more time and money than originally planned. It's par for the course.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You're more likely to feel centered and generous when your definition of success is being met. If you don't have a definition of success, invent one now. (It doesn't count unless you put it on paper.)
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). As the sign of technology, you can use computers to make your life easier and better without all the hassle and learning curve that others must go through to enjoy the same functions. Poor everybody else!
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Your brand of diplomacy is crucial to maintaining a happy home, and also useful in casual socializing. Others see through your flattery, but that doesn't mean they don't want to hear it.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: At the end of this week, the sun enters Aquarius, the sign of altruism, friends and the future. I like to think of Aquarius as the post-modern sign of the zodiac. Being second to the last on the zodiac wheel, Aquarius has the energetic qualities of every other sign before and melds bits of information, experience and resources together in the most unlikely albeit brilliant ways. But before the sun brings on this eclectic cycle, there are a few loose ends to tie. The red-tape details of protocol, etiquette and respect must be served before we can pass out of Capricorn's gate. Mars enters Capricorn on Tuesday as if to lend solidarity to this hard-working purpose. The warrior energy of Mars is most effective in the earthy realm of Capricorn. Practicalities are resolved and logistics are smoothed over. There's a new moon on Thursday — the perfect beginning for a project. Brainstorming sessions produce gems of reason. Saturday, the sun chases the moon into Aquarius, bringing levity and laughter all the way. Much of the intense labor is over, so have a blast with your weekend!
CELEBRITY PROFILES: A former child actor who seamlessly transitioned into a successful acting career as an adult, the charming Jason Bateman has all the driving ambition for which Capricorn is famous. Though he led the way in the quirky and critically acclaimed "Arrested Development" and supported in last year's smash film "The Break-Up," I see Bateman directing and producing within the next three years.

| | "Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is Alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only truth." | |
| | We're not that bright, even though in our own little world, we're geniuses. We like 80s hair bands and one-hit wonders, but among us we have respectable tastes, too. Metallica, Iron Maiden, U2. Pursuit of all things trivial is a lifestyle, not just a game. We like some sports, love other sports, and can find something to say about anything. We watch TV and movies and we've read a book or two, even a few classics (Yes, Classic Comics count!)

| | What is up FoCo?
I am a recent college graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead. After recieving my B.A. in English and Mass Communications this past August I moved down to Colorado.
I enjoy long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, and heavy metal. My hobbies include reading and writing, music, movies, and getting drunk. Some of my favorite contemporary authors include Bret Easton Ellis, Chuck Palahniuk, and Kurt Vonnegut. My top movies are anything directed by Kubrick. I enjoy listening to anything that rocks.
Right now I am just trying to get to know Colorado and FoCo better. Mostly in order to find the best drink specials on each day that ends in Y. So if you know where I can get a cheap drunk on, let me know!
